I havent heard of that being done but good luck with it, i would like to see that happen.
I agree that it won’t be a problem.
Back when we were running nummy’s blown maxima, we were in the 1.9 60’s tward the end, on sticky streets!
hycomp I seen on pgmfi.org that you are using crome pro for datalogging. Right now i am trying to setup my datalogging to log my wideband aswell. I have the free crome and i am trying to log with ecu control.
Where did you get your copy of crome pro? Did you buy it?
Yeah, I ended up just buying the pro license. I’m still sorta working the bugs out of everything but it’s definitely a nice program. I use a burn1 unit and ostrich emulator I got from moates.net also.
Ok i was wondering if anyone found a way to get it w/o paying cuz I’m poor. Oh well, looks like i’ll have to get this ecu control to work. Right now i am having issues with getting the it to find the com port. (using a usb datalogging cable)
mwhaha yea it takes about 3 months of pulling hair to get it to work right!
I almost seen the laptop fly out the window a number of times tuning mine and hycomps car!!
it just takes a while to get the bugs out and everyone who drives a honda is poor…it just works out that way
did it take you guys 3 months to get the crome pro working right??? Thats exactly why i dont wanna pay that much for something that i may still have to trouble shoot.
Right now i think i got everything worked out. I just gotta set the datalogging cable usb in teh device manager to my com port and wait for my chips to come in so i can remove checksum and add rtp and datalogging. I hope that it just works after that. Im not sure how this ecu control is gonna like my uego output. I think that if i disable the stock o2 and run the thing to the ecu’s 02 wire i should be good.
Is that how you setup the widebands on yours?
he got pro right at the end and thats what solved everything i belive,
its pretty sweet the cell that ur in is highlighted when it is running…its pretty neat
For reading reading the wideband output I disabled the O2 sensor (running open loop mode) and then fed the wideband output into the stock ecu O2 sensor input. Only thing that is sorta a problem is that the sotck ecu can only read up to like 3.8 volts or so, and at least the older aem unit’s output is like 4 volts at stoich. So when datalogging at idle or low throttles the ecu can/will see voltages greater than what it can/should be seeing. Hopefully this weekend I’ll give the knock logger a feature a try (running a chipped p72).
fmfkid As far as the cells lighting up when you drive, yeah thats pretty sweet, thats how the hondata k-pro is. You can see what cell your in and when you look at the datalogging graph that k-pro makes you can pick anypoint the in the run and find out exactly what cells you were and and all the timing and a/f readings in order to adjust those cells accordingly.
K-pro is teh hotness but it comes at a hefty tag. (nevermind its k-series)
But tuning with it is a breeze and its actually fun. Esp with the stock wideband o2 u just plug and play.
hycomp i was planning on doing my logging the exact same way. (except with p28) Will it read higher than 4.0 volts? I am running the AEM uego and its primary setting 0 to 5 volts. This might not even be a big deal depending on where on the scale stoich is. I am just wondering now if my ecu can handle the higher volt signals?
Also are you running a jdm p30 base program if so i thought that the knock sensor shit was different and you had to disable the knock to run a jdm p30 bin. (unless ur running a diff .bin)
If i knew for sure that i could get this shit working right i would consider the crome pro but i dont wanna invest in something i cant use.
fast honda… now make it sound like a v8
would he want it to slow it down?
who are u whos honda??
My name is steve i own the car in my avatar. I put an ls/vtec in it that I built and I have yet to tune it. Right now i just have a safe A:F from the vafc and my UEGO and im still waiting on my chips from moates (forever!).
I havent ran the car or anything, and i dont expect much out of it, its still full interior and i dont have slicks. Totally untuned (not even cleaned up, like now) it ran beside a 242 whp si coupe. (he had me by a car when we hit 4th gear) I dont have any track times or anything thats all i can really compare w/ and i dont know what kinda times the coupe i raced could hit.
The setup should be good for about 200 whp but honestly i dont think its gonna do it.
now who are you? all i heard about u is that u got a big ass turbo and u just keep blowing stock ls motors.
I think i read that u are finally deciding to build one? whats the deal w/ all that? U got a good running car and u seem to be a decent driver.
im joe from finleyville,
as for the blowing up motor part, i am hard on stuff ill blow anything up,
ive been building hondas since i was 16 i had a 4 door gsr with an h22 with zex,
but anywho my 1st ls i broke a rod, 2nd ls i spun a bearing, and i am on my 3rd right now and its runnen ok, it has 170k on it, im just a poor kid who likes to go fast.
my motor should be dun within a few weeks, stock sleeves and forged rods n shit stock head stock block i plan on blowing that up to because everytime i drive that car (witch is everyday) i crush it like a 200 lb man on a yz 80
haha, yeah 200 lbs is a little heavy for yz80!
Well good luck w/ your build, You doing it yourself? Or paying?
I built mine myself and its a scary feeling the first time you crank the ignition, dont know if its gonna start or send parts flying!.
If you get some forged internals in there you might be alright. Did you happen to use a block gaurd since you didnt sleeve it? I know alot of people dont like them but for $100 or so, its cheap insurance to keep things from shifting around in there, esp w/ that big turbo u got.
I used stock sleeves to 81.5mm and i figured why not throw in a block gaurd if the motor is gonna be seeing 9,500 it might help, might not, but it wasnt much money.
btw where were u from when u had that h22 w/ zex in a 4 door gsr? I never heard of that car before. Did you ever run it? on and off juice?
in the south hills it was running in the winter time so i never ran it, it was pretty cool i geuss i was like 18 years old back in 2002, i really dident have a clue, i dislike h22s now… anywho, i build all my stuff from the ground up, i wish i could have someone put it together for me because its always like a guessing game… but i seem to do ok,
i am not going to use a block gaurd, if i crack a sleve i got extra blocks, i will just push the limit to see where they will crack, i heard of 550hp on stock sleeves, thats way more then i even want, if i crack 400 whp i will be more then happy, anything over 400 might just be a traction waste…i made 262 with my ls street tuned and the traction is ok wheres it at…but hopefully i will have my block built soon, i need alot of shit still
-joe
Yeah thing hooks up great man… Gonna be at flashlights on the 16th?? My ef might be there wooo
yeah that thing hooked up hard as hell w/ 260 damn. What kinda 60’s do you usually cut i seen a couple that looked like u were launchin on slicks and i think atleast one was a 1.7 er.
