I was actually thinking about this the other day and wondered if Sat phones could ever replace cell phones, but they defintely cannot due to that.
i would be fine with no voice calls allowed. text, email, internet, fine by me as long as the phone is on vibrate.
I can’t stand it with people that fucking yap loudly the whole flight as it is. It would happen far more frequently.
There are providers that will provide in flight internet. In reality, its not going to hurt you to do any of the 44509450349853098209384023984 other things you could be doing during the flight.

i would LOVE being able to use a cell on a place tho(for txt and web). i can never sleep because im to fucking tall. 4hrs of sitting in an uncomfortable seat with basically nothing to do blows.
