I don’t think danny works there anymore, I never recalled hearing him refered to as an owner. I was able to keep up with him well enough in my neon, and I was running about 1:15s or so.
As far as the actual record, some of the open wheel formula cars are in the mid 56sec range. ALMS porsches are just a bit slower, i seem to recall them running 57s or low 58s.
At beaver I still think the record for a ‘street car’ with fenders in Raffertys supra running in the 1:01 range, i’ve heard of a few other cars getting close to that but they were way more gutted and usually had some aero work helping out in the turns. As far as full blown race cars, Anderson Walko racing had their formula alantic cars there awhile ago running really low 50 second range times I think?
Karen is in China helping the GM cause there, Kent’s Supra lost a wheel last year at the SCCA timetrial at BR. Its not gone but I dunno if it will be back anytime soon.
