Well im tying to get a permit to pour my concrete garage pad and i need to get a drawing of the layout of this 24ft by 30ft that is stamped by an approved new york state architect or engineer.
I know it might be along shot but its worth the try to look for one lol.
wow…they really are asking for that for a garage pad…i wish i could help ya…but our partners are the only ones that will sign drawings…and they like their money lol
what you mean by taht lol…i dont mind paying if thats what you are implying lol.
and i agree with you on “they are really asking for that for a garage pad” i guess they have to make a buck some where.
I know people that would do the garage pad but because they need the architect/engineer approved drawing im stuck lol.
you just need it approved by an architect/engineer? If so I’ll ask my brother-in-law, they just built a house, and his brother is a project manager I think for a architecture firm IIRC.
i am sure u dont mind paying…they are just realllllllly expensive lol…i would do the drawings for you if u can find smeone just willing to throw a stamp a sig on them
You need someone with a PE license, not just anyone with an engineering degree. PE’s probably aren’t going to sign something you drew up yourself. You might have to hire an engineering firm to make the drawings and then stamp them. Shitty.
wow really?
i guess i got to go call up Foit-Albert…hopfully the owner still remember me from.
You’re surprised that they want signed drawings?
Are you buying a garage kit type thing? Maybe 84 lumber would know of an inexpensive alternative to your problem as they sell the kits?
Architects can’t stamp concrete drawings, you need a PE with competency in structural
Im not suprised at the drawing but the signed part i was, as i was informed by the building inspector if its less then 400sqft then signature is not required but beecause it exceeds 400sqft i would need footers and stamped drawing.
stop by my work ill sign it
lol you really dont give a fuck
if you were in PA i’d help you out… but i haven’t bothered to get my RA in NYS yet…
now do they just want the signature for the pad only or the whole building?
