Any thoughts on the BMW "Ci"?

Well im looking these bmw and i have no idea what im looking for for some reason these model the 323ci 325ci 328ci look very appealing to me. what are your thoughts on them? any problems i should look for?

Ci is the convert. model. RIght?

330ci is what you want.

Front end bushings and the VANOS are going to be the most expensive things I believe.

wtf do you want a cabrio for? go coupe buddy

Ci isn’t convertible, iC is.

328>330

at least fromt he research i had done when i was on the hunt for a bimmer.

in e36 models. e46 its something else. IDK anything about the e30’s if they even use the C

really?

I had an 03 330i. I happened to buy an extended warranty for fear of an engine/tranny, I actually needed the front control arms (comes with bushings pressed in) and they totalled to nearly $1000. I never had any issues with the Vanos. Another issues is the Final Stage Resistor (FSR) goes out on just about every 99-03 E46 I’ve ever seen, causing the blower fan to continually run, draining the battery and causing loss of control of heating/cooling etc…

Convertibles were never officially called “ic” from BMW, it’s just the common name people use to refer to it. The “ci” is an E46 coupe.

I hear they take well to supercharging and lots and lots of carbon fiber…

Lafengas has one.

the 323, 328 coupes have less aftermarket and are less desirable than the 325,330 motors which are a generation newer.

Ci always means couple and not converible which would be called either iC or maybe even CiC.

I don’t know why anybody would prefer the earlier motor with money not factored in.

back to the original point… they’re great cars, but expect to spend money to maintain them… they got a lot more shit to go wrong than you mustang does, and more will go wrong… it’s not a bad thing, just understand and budget for it.

also, don’t buy it as a sports car, you’d be better off starting with an M3 for that duty.
