Let's have a beer and talk about e46 BMW's shall we?

Just curious as to what I should be looking for in e46 BMW’s, in regards to problem areas.

I know to check the RTABs, coolant system leaks, sub-frame and whatnot, but am I missing anything else?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

man, these are all the rage on nyspeed lately…

to add to your list window regulators fail a lot.

fml. I want one.

Chris, if you have one you’re looking at, you’d be wise to bring it to me and have me look it over.

I would but the car in question is located outside of NY, it’s a 2000 328ci

link?

oh, yea that may be difficult.

vin number? i can check warranty history. how many miles?

I’ll shoot ya the VIN

Travis you’ll have to wait to see =p

Beer?

Buy an E39 M5 lol

Chris, what’s the mileage. It doesn’t have much of a warranty history. I only see the first oil service listed at 15,000 miles(normal) and no inspection one service…(should be done at 30k)

I had the chance to pick up an E39 M5 last year for cheap, still regret not doing it.

I like this  Dope cars.

cmon, dont be gay. lets see it. its not like someone from here is going to swipe it from underneath ya, especially since its not local.

you think you bitch about your mk4 now? just wait

True…

This is assuming all goes well at the CU tmrw, which I don’t see why it wouldn’t

you arent getting that great of a deal. wait for an 02+, it has the old shitty sport steering wheel with a tape player. no heated seats either.

02 325ci $7995 Brooklyn

it has sport wheel but not seats, hmm… has shitty a/m wheels… just saying there others out there, but a business CD player is $150, sport wheel and bag is 4-600, etc, heated seats can range from 4-800 to retrofit depending on how you do it (add heated element to seats or buy new seats)

but I sure do <3 black int with sliver trim (you can paint or vinyl the wood grain)

Normally I don’t like silver but that looks really clean. I guess the same could be said about your bike as well.

edit- referring to the Bimmer in question

I don’t think its a deal at all- negotiate down or better yet, find a different e46 IMO.

Especially if there isn’t any service records.

Unless it’s a CPO it’s going to be hard to find a record trail.

That price is definitely going to be negotiated anyways

Thats my next choice, both within 10 mins of eachother.

I’m leaning towards this one.

It’s about time you smartened up. lol

Should have started off with my bimmer in the first place.
