Anyone end up investing in Bitcoins?

I wish I would of 5 years ago. Been buying Litecoin, bitcoin and ripple. Been up, but obviously but nearly as much as some.

With a time machine anyone could be a billionaire investor.

I mean honestly I started screwing around a couple months ago and im up 60%ish

We here friends are at a moment in time which wont come again for us. I think what happened with BTC so far is just the start. Its similar to those that were there at the begining of the modern stock market, the jack ryan moments. Take the risk, take the plunge  and don’t look back  yesterday my brother told me “back when it was $50 a coin and you told me about it, I thought it was cheesy”. Soon the flood gates will open!

I worry a lot of people will get burned by that line of thought.

Any money I invest in Bitcoin I have been fine writing off/losing. I have watched other forums with people dumping all their savings or buying BTC on credit cards. I could be wrong and everyone will turn into millionaires but between scaling issues, quantum computing, and technology fronts rapidly changing im not sure about putting all my eggs in one basket.

Lol I’m not saying sell your house and move under a bridge and personally I wont get “burned”. I “lost” over 20k when I got married and had to live overseas, and it didn’t ruin my life. As long as what you put in wont put you out on the street, imo is all fine. Money can be earned, divergent paths in time cannot be created… Putting all that aside, yes all of this is risky but someone who put 20k into iota a few days ago today could have cashed out around 60k. Rule of thumb? No. Possible? Certainly.

I am hodl though. I think all of this is here to stay and make us all rich or wishing we put in 2011

As for any crypto, all in? Not the smartest if you have life to worry about. I tell people to put what they can lose. Treat it like the casino and slowly put some away. The upside is huge and if you lose it, still be smart with your traditional investments to keep you going. I also have mine split into a leveraged trading account and one that just sits for long term.

I will say I find the first Wall Street revenue generating crypto product who initial was “more concerned about the blockchain than bitcoin itself” is Bitcoin futures.

Either way, the moves are not done. This who era we are in reminds me of when I had a Palm Treo and everyone asked me “Why do you need email and internet on your phone?” and now look at the cell phone industry. We are watching a big transfer of wealth and at the start of a whole new financial system. Lots of potential and even have been working on a fund to help allow people to follow the holdings and moves that goes on top of my trading business. It is pretty crazy to see how people suddenly want to take on investments and looking at the future because of crypto.

Im not saying into one crypto but into it in general, and of course what you could stand to lose. I guess for everyone that threshold is different. And that post was meant to sound like an advertisement

Edit: Most people are doing a version of this anyway through vehicle leases or buying brand new from the dealer in general. Simply for the feel good and the respect etc. I would consider that such a huge loss and pure stupid in terms of an investment, but on the other hand, 10’s of millions of people are doing it and happy doing it even though they are literally losing (monetary value) with each day.

Boxxa I am an amateur at all of this but here is my question, looking at the market today, Bitcoin is at its current high price and then followed by a whole bunch of others which all have some value. IF Bitcoin continues to rise and rise to 50k-$1mil is it fairly reasonable to assume that some of these other cheap ones will rise too? New ones will be added, some will go away but if you invest in a bunch of them while the market is young, some should rise and have the potential to rise huge?

We’re also talking about a short investing window here, not trying to treat this like say traditional mutual fund investing etc at this point that is. I also agree on this being like the Palm era, I just don’t see any future that is possible without Crypto currency. We wont be taking bags of cash into space I imagine and that is on the verge of opening like the internet/computer age did from 2000 to now

Who here uses GDAX and could answer a question for me? Want to know what deposting does? Where it goes?

Yes. Bitcoin cycles when they slow down usually result in an altcoin pump across the board but a lot of just what markets can move for no reason and things like ETH and Litecoin usually track up with Bitcoin. Altcoin that are still finding their place and being discovered have a ton of potential, similar to how Ethereum came to its rise. As new coins who have been out start to establish their purpose, I think you will see a large gain from them with all the new found money looking to be invested. I would avoid ICOs though since tokens are useless other than following pump and dump schemes so stick with actual coins with blockchains.

Do a USD transfer from bank to coinbase. Go into GDAX and transfer from your coinbase account to trading and buy that way. Saves you a chunk in fees.

So I ended up calling my electric company because I was afraid to calculate things off my bill and be wrong, they told me I average around .091 us/kwh

not sure if that helps anyone, I was about to buy 5 antminer s3s off facebook market place, but it appeared to not be as profitable as my single GTX 1080 GPU, https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator/nvidia-gtx-1080?e=0.091&currency=USD

thats unless this calculator is wrong. I still don’t know if I will mine just yet.

The problem with mining if you’re willing to take the risk is the change in difficulty IIRC.

EDIT: IOTA is at 4.30$ FML if the wallet they use wasn’t so sketchy I would have gotten in a while ago. I’m gonna buy on the dip if there is ever one FUCKKKKK FUCK EVERYTHING

Anyone check out SALT? Great concept that I think will unfortunately work. It gives loans to people using crypto as a collateral. That means a bunch (and by bunch MILLIONS) of people are going to borrow money and risk personal bankruptcy. I’m thinking about buying some but not using the services. This crypto stuff releases the same endorphins as gambling, that’s why salt will succeed (at least in the short term).

Says I can make a profit. Anyone wanna key me in on how to set something up?

I’ve been trying to do this for weeks but cannot get GDAX to let me set up my account. I have already linked my coinbase account though but i get hung up on the second ID since im CDN

Yea any KYC regulated exchange is going to give you some issues and deal with that shitty auto auth service they use and have to open tickets. Coinbase is the easiest to get on but they are terrible with the support. If you are Canadian, you can probably setup Bitfinex too or BitMEx pretty easy.

I can’t stop watching IOTA. It climbs by 10 cents by the minute. 5.27

FML. This was NYSpeed’s bitcoin. Shit was pennies a week ago.

If market cap can become similar to Ethereum it could potentially reach 10-15$.

Ill do some updates soon, been crazy busy .

for the last 2 weeks my programmer has been working on my membership site. Basically it will be a stupid cheap monthly fee to cover my time, couple of my investor friends time,my writers time & to weed out freeloaders that dont even have a $1 to invest in cryptos ’ no offense to many 3rd world countrys ’ But they are very annoying in the cryptoworld.

It will be info packed. also replicating some trades and ico trades me and my group does. We make $, you follow, you will make $.
If your wondering how much we make on some of our ico flips & trades? 3x and up to 30x . Yes its real. Yes you can make $ in crypto. Its all about timing.

Should be live Dec 15th.

As for questions people posted. I will update it later after i get some sleep.

Well @choko I’d love to hear some more info and what a proper portfolio looks like in your opinion.

Bitcoin passed 13K, altcoins dropping like heavy dildos out of an airplane, because that’s how gravity works.

WELL, MY CREDIT CARD BONED ME
Yesterday I bought some btc after dinner at 11700…I wake up and btc is just under 13k, BUT my card thought it was a fraud buy and cancelled it on me
MF

Most cards let you setup fraud alerts/txt now that you can approve you should see if thats an option.
