Anyone end up investing in Bitcoins?

https://www.coindesk.com/bulgarian-government-sitting-3-billion-bitcoin/

Bulgaria finds out it has enough BTC to pay off 1.5 of it’s national debt.

@LZ1 not pulling for 12/18 months. Will prob keep putting in for 8 more months here and there.

I’m wondering this myself too. I wanna pull and jump back in but not sure when. Def after the CME I would say.

Potcoin is on the late night show with steven colbert tonight!

Haven’t read thread in about a week… gonna read through it once i get the kids off to school and respond to some PM’s

This is all so fascinating to me especially because I can see there is potential to make some good money but information from people who have followed it for years is like gold imo. To be clear I am learning as I go and all these concepts floating around in my head just by seeing the numbers , I start verifying with “arbitrage trading” etc

Right now I want to be the Pacman of information of all this!

If you’re planning on buying anyone want to share their target buy in price for litecoin? Been falling all morning, down to $276 right now.

bound to be a hard dip after everything that happened to it in the past couple weeks.

i read somewhere that coinbase is going to add other currencies in 2018

I want to buy litecoin soon as well.

Coinbase is adding Ripple

Let the Ripple rip!

i would like to buy ripple but cannot.

still waiting on Gdax and Bittrex to verify my accounts. i dont think it will happen. coinsquare should work for me eventually but i keep having to go back every few days to do more shit to try and verify.

where can i buy XRP? i understand it has ballooned i the past couple days but again, i’m a long term holder, not a day trader, so i dont care if i by high the first time in since it’ll only be a small buy.

@bing Bitstamp has Xrp.

And Binance

yeah i guess i can transfer my LTC or BTC into binance and buy XRP then. the fees are pretty stupid though. i really prefer the liquidity and fundamentals on stocks instead

ANNNNNNND My 2 factor authenticator for coinbase is not working, so now I have to get verified again!

THIS IS WHY YOU KEEP YOUR COINS ON A PRIVATE HARD WALLET.
@bing Einstein is a Canadian exchange that opened recently, i signed up, looks pretty good! they have XRP.

If you transfer LTC then there is no fee. On Binance, if you own some of their BNB , then the trade fees are paid in BNB not the currency being traded in, and there’s a discount. They are fairly tiny as it is. The Coinbase fees when buying are what I find stupid. $200 worth of LTC comes out at $191. $9 is like 40 ADA’s or 450 TRX’s. Even if those currencies never make it above $10, that is still some pretty solid gains(considering that would probably just add to your portfolio .

Then again, if they do hit $10 you would probably be very well off anyway.

My gut told me to sell ripple and ethereum at all time highs, lol should have listened but then again hindsight is 20/20.

I’ll be more confident when I receive the @choko newsletter on a regular basis.

I NEED this in my life, take my money! I need that GT in the driveway!

He said it’s going to take a bit longer.

Another interesting find, which is easy to see. If you look at coinmarketcap.com you can quickly see that the high dollar tokens etc. are ones that have a supply in the millions. None of them trade at anything less than $1, most being $10. At todays BTC market cap Ripple is $7.4 . At 5 trillion market in Ripple alone, it would be $119. Meaning that Ripple can never realistically approach the price of BTC, Ethereum etc.

I wonder if it makes sense for a hold portfolio to also invest in the lower tier of the current low supply tokens/coins. So the $1-$30 range.

A $350 hold investment on a $1 low supply could turn into $500k.

A $350 investment into a high supply token/coin turning into $500k is pretty much not possible.

Obviously these are hypothetical.

A question, what is it with these 'Hard Forks"? Now there is SuperBitcoin and Bitcoin x coming out? Looking at Bitcoin Cash , does it make sense to invest in these new ones while they are cheap?

When is CoinbaseI getting ripple?

And I imagine it will be on gdax?

I’m buying some now, im sure it will explode once it is on coinbase and hits gdax.

man i wish there were more Canadians on here… i need some help with coinsquare, it is the Canadian exchange but the coins that can be bought are limited.

You can only buy:

Bitcon
Bitcoin Cash
Ethereum
Dash
Dogecoin
Litecoin
Squarecoin

so no Iota or Ripple… which sucks because those are the ones i want. But the fees are lower in here than on coinbase so that is good and i can fund from my bank account.

One of the issues i am having is that it doesnt appear that i can transfer BTC or LTC balances into coinsquare. There is no clear click path to do so anyways.

It is incredible to me that it is all this difficult… but it only makes me want to do it more since these are significant barriers to retail buyers.
