bitcoin and paypal are like oil and water.
people are moving away from paypal. more and more companies are getting sick of the fees and how much it cuts into their profits. also depending on what you do and how frequent your TXs are, paypal has been locking more and more accounts. the no charge back thing is better too for a lot of line people.
2015 has turned into a bull year on the yearly with a recent upswing the past few weeks.
Was buying a bunch around 200-240. This nice little pop this week made a great time to buy stuff!
Didnât I sell you some a while back?
You did, when they were going for $650 :tear: Now that a few of the stores I frequent online take them I basically stock up when theyâre sub-$250 and then use them to buy stuff at a discount when they go up. Helps me justify frivolous purchases to my inner finance guy.
Haha ya. If you have cash laying around they were good buys this year and good to use on the way up. Its like an online coupon code!
apparent founder of bitcoin identified and in trouble
Scammer. Nothing in that story lines up. Also the real founder posted using his account to the bitcoin-dev mailing list and saying its not him. Haha
Bump for $1100
I remember when they first came out, I mined a few and then said âthis is dumbâ and âwithout regulation, thisâll never take offâ (My Dad was in banking / anti money laundering).
So, I have just .75 BTC on my computer that Iâve had for a while. $700 is better than $0 I suppose. (oh well)
Surged up to $1100 on fears of cash shortages. Down to $800 after China banned Bitcoin for the 100th time and investigating exchanges. Their capital controls are insane and people are trying to secure funds they can move whenever they can so should be interesting. Still the Bitcoin ETF is trying to get approved and could send it flying to all new highs if that happens this year.
I still have my target on BTC i made in 2014 at $1800-$2200 in 2017. We shall see
I wish I would have seen all these videos and documentaries about the development of the âdark webâ a long time ago than within the last six months, I would have purchased bitcoin as it is the currency used for this exponentially growing cesspool of child molesters and cannibals on the black market.
If youâre bored, have no idea what Iâm talking about, and donât have a weak stomach, google the dark web and watch yourself get obsessed with knowing more and more about it.
I still have .76 BTC that I mined a couple of years ago, when I felt like playing around with it. I bought a motherboard, CPU, memory and SIX video cards. I mined about 4-5 BTC in total. Sadly⌠while doing that, I found Alt-coins and their volatile market. I played around with that until I lost.
It was a fun hobby, but I just looked at BTC to USD and said, 'Holy #()*!" Itâs up at $1,284 right now.
My .76 BTC was only worth $100⌠I held onto it just as a nostalgia thing. Now that .76 BTC is worth $1000! DAMN!
I guess Iâll just keep holding onto it. ha
Buy and hold. COIN ETF approval is going on this month and could expand the ability for Bitcoin to be bought.
If either of the 2 ETFâs go through this month. Especially the twins due no later then March 13th by the SEC.
I could see a $500+ million dollar flood into BTC very fast
But if rejected i could see pullback around $1k for a bit.
Sometimes i wish i only had a dozen BTC then what i have as i watch my balance values fluctuate thousands up or down daily
Random Fact:. Some Strips clubs in Vegas now accepting BTC hahah
I divested about 25% of my 401k into bitcoin around the second half of last year and has been incredible. The gains week over week are great. The SEC approval is just a rule change for BATS to allow it. Will still have work to be done but I donât think the approval will carry much weight. We are seeing a lot of financial instability across the world. Look at the massive buy ups happening in Bitcoin and its a lot of countries that have tried to impose currency regulations and people worried about their savings.
Do you know if the ETFs are futures based or they actually holding BTC? I canât seem to find the type of commodity ETF they are using.
yo i want to talk about this again.
i realize bitcoin is at crazy levels but i want to start to understand how a beginner should do a buy and hold.
@boxxa i need your wisdoms.
