IB Superdome.
I was planning on just using points and staying at the W - French Quarter. Any other sugesstions on places that are good to stay? I’ve never been to NO before. Expect to spend 2 nights and an entire day (arrive Thurs, leave Sat. mid day) before driving out to a wedding.

I have gone a couple times and stayed diffent places. You cant go wrong staying in the french quarter anywhere really. But the nicer places are the 300 block of bourban st.

I stayed here last week ^ old place not the greatest, but it was cheap. place was builit in like 1790 or some shit. Look at places on expedia, you can get some great package deals through them, flight and room.
previous year we stayed here :pimp: this right in the party district. This is the nicer place to stay by far.

Right now I’m leaning towards the Royal Sonesta or the Monteleon I think.

Good call. Try to stay closer to bourbon, the places are nicer, anything with address #s close to the 300’s are the higher end places on bourbon.

Another tip: Watch where your buying drinks, especially mixed, there are some places that a like $10 per drink and you wouldnt expect it at all. And check for the places that have a 3 for 1 happy hour from like 3pm to 8pm, there are usually signs around, just keep an eye out for them.
Watch your wallet, there are plenty of pick pockets on bourbon, had one group of thugs approach in a really wierd situation.
Be sure to stop by pat obriens and have a hurricane.

Be sure to check out the creepy cemeteries that are all above ground…
I stayed at the Omni.
Nice place, smallish rooms but very nice. Bed was very comfy also.
