The crazy thing is that they are running 10 seconds and faster and the electric motors are only 20 HP.

An electric roadster and does 0-60 in 4 seconds and cost a penny per mile to drive. This is a new company in California and they are plan to develop a cheaper commuter car as well.
I saw an interview with one of the guys from Tesla. He claims that Silicon Valley is going to be like Detroit for electic cars.
