Just wondering if anyone has info on this. Found a pretty much perfect property here in Kentucky that we are going to pursue. Dont think i would move for at least a yr or so tho. Not 100% sure if we want to rent yearly or just rent as weekly rentals in the spring-fall season. Wifey found similar properties renting for a cpl thousand a week but realtor thinks i woud only get 2000 or so monthly as its about 12 miles from downtown. Seems like nothing for wny but down here 12 miles is like Alaska lol

go on homeaway.com and look around that area. See if there is anything else that is renting and see how booked up it is. Even give them a call and ask. I find that most of the people on that site are quite friendly.
What part of Kentucky?
Went on home away and the only things in the area were about 20 mins away in smaller towns .A couple were on a lake but some were just in the country. Hard to determine a value from that as they are from 100/ night for way less to 1000/ night for a similar house but on a lake which has more value obviously.

My parents own a condo in Florida they rent out to tenants who want to stay for longer terms. Their real estate agent takes care of the checking on the place, renting it out and checking out the wouldbe tennants, and scheduling the cleaning crew to go after they move out (for a fee of course). They avoid the 1 week rentals and look more at the 2-3 month people who are down there visiting family because they don’t want it damaged or rented out by a group of like 10 people who want to party hard so it is what you make of it.
