Looking for anybody that is running a UTEC in there 350Z or Altima because I was thinking about getting one for my Altima SE-R. But would love to see one installed and ask some questions about it ( O.K. maybe alot of questions. ).
Plus is there anyone in the city that could tune the car.

That is a great price ( $818.22 on e-bay ).
So if I get this right, you don’t need a adapter to hook it up to the Altima factory ECU, it’ s just the mounting bracket that is different.
It sounds like it’s not a true plug and play, you well always have to have it hooked up to your ECU.
Did it ever give you a S.E.S. light.
Can you return it to factory settings when you go to the Nissan dealer, so they don’t now that you have one.
Plus do you just hook it up to your lap top, to try and tune and have you ever looked into getting a ( Tuner REG System, VW O2 sensor (Tuner-VW) ). -
it is pug n play. if u get a map switch u can have factory settings

Explain what is a map switch is. I do now you can choice from 5 different maps, as long you are under a certain R.P.M.s. But how would you find out what is the factory settings are, so it can be one of your switches. Plus it’s not a true plug and play, because you have to permittely mount it in the car and it piggy backs your car E.C.U… It does not over ride the cars E.C.U. until needed, I think when you hit a certain R.P.M. ( Don’t now ).

this is true we can never go full standalone due to drive by wire always being controlled by the ecu

Haltech, ProEFI, AMS etc… There are plenty of full standalones for the VQ platform.
