Anyone used mother's powerball??

What do you guys think about this thing? I decided to buy one and give it a shot. Granted it didn’t polish them as good as it would have if I had done it by hand, but for the easiness of it (About 5 minutes per rim), it shined em nice.

Any of you guys given it a shot? What do you think of it?

I’ll take some pictures of the afters, I didn’t think to take pictures of them before but the rims were pretty dirty and they turned out pretty nice.

I’ve got one but only used it once because i can do a lot better job than it can. Plus its not too durable on sharp edges. The spikes on my rims start to tear it up. It works good on aluminum but for billet nothing can beat polishing by hand.

I use an old pad on my polisher. It works well. Then again, pads for my polisher are only 4"

I bought one for when I had my iforged wheels… Thought it was a waste of money because I got better results by hand… Granted it took longer by hand but the results where ten times better…

Well right, that’s what I said in my first post. I would have gotten a lot better outcome by hand, but for the easiness of the powerball, and how little time it took. I thought it was pretty nice for the quickness of it. But yes, by hand does a way better job of course.

yea works pretty well for a quick job, a lot of people buy them from us

You guys need a more exclusive appearence lineup. Wizards…pfft. The quick detailer is nice. The sealant is crap.

http://www.poorboysworld.com/ would be a terrific lineup to carry.

or

http://www.chemicalguys.com/ since Poorboys is just that in smaller bottles (and CG offers a lot of their stuff in smaller bottles now, anyway).

3M

Ever since Hutchin’s closed and Carquest took over, it’s difficult to locate 3M products without driving to 3 different stores and finding only two or three things at each.

So hand jobs > * ??

definately not.

just:handjobs > power tools

I have both the powerball and the mini powerball. Both work real well for Billet wheels. I started out 2 years ago doing the wheels by hand with Mother’s Billet Polish, thought it was great stuff, then i got Ardex Metal Mania, that made the shine twice as great. Last year i got the powerball, heres a good pic

left side by hand, right side done right after with the powerball

that was taken last year, since then i ran out of the Ardex metal Mania, i switched to Power Metal and bought the mini powerball, the shine from the power metal is great, 3 weeks later it still looks awesome. The mini helped with the tight spots on these wheels.
