Apexi ECV (exhaust control valve)

I’m looking into getting one of these exhaust control valves just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with these?

Heres a newer model Apexi for 90… these things use to run for acouple hundred when I first saw them. $90 is definately reasonable.

Again anyone have any experience with these? worth the money? pros/cons? the electrical one better or the mechanical?

I have one on my GTR, they are OK. But I’m going to remove it anyway. Too restrictive and no power when you do have to activate it.

i’d just buy a dmh electric cutout with their y pipe instead.

They work magic, when you want to have a conversation with a girl in the car casually driving you just close it down, when you see a cop just close it down and your exhaust will be quiet. When you open it back up its like its not there at all and you can tear it up once again.

Obviously your not going to have power when your closing it down, the whole point of it is to quiet down your car, if you want power you open it back up and rip, quiet and powerful dont come hand in hand often.

its sweet

but yea it feels like you loose 100hp when u close it

only close it when cops are around or your coming home late at night
