Like anything else if done right awesome, but can easily ruin a car at the same time.

The grey scale flames you posted look badass.
The flame work on that first hood posted looks good. (really detailed)
I think done in the right way on the right car they can look good.
But about 98% of the time I’ve see it looks like goat dick.
I like the first WS6 hood you posted. The ghost flames are not bad but just a hair more visible then the pic posted above.
