Dan didn’t mis-shift when he beat you that same year. You guys had the same HP , he ran 12.8 that year and you ran 13’s about that same average that you run now with 200hp more and a shit load of more money dumped into your car.
But hey i just dump 20psi in my car and some how manage to run mid ten’s, while you do the same thing and run 13’s.
Well you ran your car this year so you didn’t disapear. Shit happend all the time, my first went went because it went lean when the voltage drop on the fuel pump. Anyways myself and other people on the list have not backed up the times within two tenths.
i think if i wanted to run more at the track i could be more consistent…

A little exaggerated…first of all it was 12.3…on street tires. Second…he ran 11.9 with less boost on drs. Your 10 second pass was on slicks. Third…he hasn’t run his car at the track with 20psi. Woooo drama.
thoes times were after he made 400hp. NOT at 300hp level. yes my times were on slicks , if its so easy put slicks on jays car and see if it runs the same. :

I don’t know the details, just wanted to point out that a car that makes X on the dyno doesn’t necessarily make that the track. I heard a lot of shit over the years when I went MID 12s on the first run with the EBC turned off. “OMGZ your car make 6XX but went MID 12”. That sort of stupidness.
So are you saying you ran 10’s at the 300hp level?
I was mainly referring to this statement. You said he dumped 20psi into his car and ran 13’s. I merely corrected you and said he hasn’t ever run 20psi in his car (at the track) and with 15psi he ran an 11.9 (last year). He took it last week on street tires with 1-2psi more (I think?), and ran 12.3 on street tires. He did run a 13.2 at the 300hp level. I am not sure if you are trying to compare your car running 10’s to when he was running 13’s which was 2 years ago now. I understand you said average, but seriously…like you have never had a bad run? You just put slicks on turned up the boost to 20psi and ran 10’s on your first try? Kudos to you then.
Contrary to popular belief I know you can’t just throw slicks on your car and run 10’s ;D. So don’t think I am taking anything away from your achievement. It is still impressive.

beat me to it mike. low 12’s on street tires and pump gas, the way i drove it to the track. So i know what it would run 1/4 the way it sits. on Dr’s it will be interesting to see what i run, but again i like to know what my car runs all day every day, not just once w/ slicks because it managed to not blow up.
sometime when i’m bored w/ having a car i can drive everyday, i’ll throw race gas and slicks on it and we’ll see what she runs. Not going to chance a good summer this early on, because my benz is in the shop, so driving the single cam non-vtec EK all summer doesnt sound fun.
I can have an all motor car and run the same number you run everday. I don’t know where you get that i run once and manage to blow up because that is not true. You haven’t even seen my car run to make comments like that. You should throw some race gas and slicks and line it up with me to see how many round you go before blowing something up.
I think you miss the point. I, unlike you, care if my car blows up… because i dont have a trailer to get it home, and a benz to drive whenever i want. If i had to guess, on race gas and slicks you would win, because you will blow your car up to prove a point, and i wont.
I know NA cars run low 12’s, if not better, but thats not what were talking about here. You throw your 10.5 around that happened once, on slicks, on videos that you dont have, or i havent seen, and think your the shit. How about you throw street tires on your car, and run at LVD. i’d love to see you pull low 12’s.

but he’s just going to argue that i should beat the crap out of my motor on race gas and slicks on public roads anyways to prove a point. If it were someone else less dramatic and sketchy, i might be game. But with these clowns i wouldnt be suprised if he threw a 100shot on it for good measure and wouldnt open his hood.
Kinda like trying to win best preformance last year at Keeler Honda meet, with no motor in the car. Wouldnt pop the hood. Didn’t start it, and pushed it back onto the trailer he rolled it out of.

If i throw street tires , im going to run MH 10.5" drag radial and set my NLR boost controller and still run 10’s like most hondas in the power street class. I run 20psi nothing crazy same boost i ran when i went 10.5. We can go round for round june 6th for the track rental, let see what will happend on your first time running slicks :
