Here, I’ll re-word it. You use age to determine maturity level pretty often. Maybe you should just determine(judge), the punks from the adults by how they act, and not how many days they’ve been on the planet.
Actually I use actions to determine maturity… which leads to asking age.

I’ll make any assumptions and deterrminations I want. I am a very good judge of character… face to face… I make mistakes… but usually I am correct. The hard thing on the web… is the lack of body language and such… but usually immaturity is clear as a bell.
Maybe it just bothers me because you see someone acting like a dick, then you ask their age. It just looks like your relating the 2. And that annoys the shit out of me because people jump the gun on age to often.
