AutoCAD ppl... a quick question

Im working at home today, using my version of AutoCAD (2004). When I need to select multiple objects, I need to hold down shift. Normally I dont, CAD will allow you to select multiple objects without the need for holding shift.

Its just annoying the hell out of me, and I cant seem to find the option to fix it. Little help?

u have drag the pointer from right to left…if that doesnt work its an option in the preferences somewhere

Mmm not that. I mean individually selecting an object…

fixed it. Its in options -> selecting. :ham:

options -> selecting -> use shift to add to selection

I understand that but some commands only let you select one thing at a time or ones let you select multiple things.

all I know is this:

Selecting from right to left selects anything that path touches

Selecting from left to right selects only what is enclosed by that path

And, with the option I selected, clicking selects objects
