These are an early version of the gauges and therefore have some minor glitches, the functionality is not affected though. Basically you have to start your car like normal, if you start your car in the ON key position then the gauges have a chance of freezing -doesnt happen often but I want to be upfront.

I am willing to let these go for 650.00 for the entire set. They retail for about 200/each but I got a deep discount on them so they are priced to sell.

Still for sale.

To clear some confusion up (I hope this doesnt confuse people more) here is a more detailed explanation of what occurs with the gauges.

When you have the key in the IGNITION/ON position (where all the accessories come on)y whats happening is the gauges are set to ping the main module during startup. When you have the accessories on, the voltage draw is too great for the main module to ping the gauges and this results in an error for the system which in turn stops the gauges in their tracks.

If you start the car like you usually do by inserting the key and cranking it then the module sends the ping and gets it back and voila the gauges work.

Hope this makes sense.

So turn the key right away, or? Because I though you were supposed to get it to ON, wait 5 seconds for your fuel pump to prime, and then turn the car on?

Maybe if your driving a race car. Since when do modern cars need time to prime the pump?

they don’t need time to prime the pump it needs time to prime the fuel rail.

I dunno, maybe it is the rail. I’ve been told you’re supposed to wait for your pump to pressurize your fuel system, and it’s always made sense to me. Anyway, I’m sure there are people that do it one way, and people that do it another, and either way it has no severe impact on your vehicle, plus that’s a real good price for those gauges. Always good to have good quality gauges like these in your car, some of the cheaper ones aren’t very accurate at all.

It’s PRESSURIZE the rail, not prime it

And yes, you should wait until the pump stops before you crank the motor.

Not to clutter up the thread for these fine Nexus gauges,

If your rail won’t hold pressure, you have a problem.

You only need to let it prime if the rail has been depressurized or you ran it dry.

What you hear is the fuel pump trying to pressurize the sytem, but it realizes the pressure is already up, then stops trying.

It’s not a diesel, you don’t have glow plugs

Now buy his gauges.

exacally

I have reinstalled the opening sequence now.

Price is still the same though 650 FIRM.

doh, so you have to buy them in a set?

If anyone wants these, this is a killer price, you won’t find it cheaper anywhere.
