Awesome enthusiast cars/models list

youve got to have a real love for the car to appreciate it…total enthusiasts’ car…to some people it looks like rice to the real aficionado however, its like gold.

Sometimes it takes a real trained eye, to see what you want and go for it. Few have the ability to see it, fewer to do it.

But you have to remember there is more than meets the eye

point me in the direction of where you found it. im pretty sure it would be worth the time restoring a VERY very rare car. on average these things go for about 20-22k right now thats if you can even convince one of the 10 owners in the us to sell thiers

mmm g60 syncro

it looks like dump though

+1

I’m going to go ahead and call BS.

No, the 2.5 or 2.3 16v (as it is in the US of course we didnt get the good engine) dont have that large of a following, nor does it have that great of a history. It was a souped up preAMG badging (for the most part) benz. The only 190E that can be posted in this thread is the EvoII, but wait, we didnt get them, and it’s already been posted.

Not to mention, the American 2.3 16V’s blew.

And Minglor, I like the new quote, are you just using MPD quotes for your sig now?

ah god the c4 callway body kit ughhhhh spoooooge

Are you talking about Depth Charge? I can see the resemblance…

I had a 1975 Eldorado convertible. I kept the good parts and the rest went to the junkyard last year. It was too far gone to save.

Yeah! Whats that Ford Esxort that was very rare, very fast???

A friend of mine had a Dodge Spirit R/T. We used to think it was pretty quick. We’d race IROCs, a 454SS Pickup or 2 and keep up with em. We didnt even know if it was turbocharged or anything…ahhh being 17 again.

Also, I had a friend in high school that had a EXP. He thought it was the shit. Slow as balls.
I cant think of anymore domestic cars that were ~different~.
Well, how 'bout those old “purpose” built Mopar cars? The Super Duty’s that came from the dealer with slicks and headers in the trunk. Also, had heat, A/C delete, no radio.

see sig

True but I didn’t want to put the evo2 in there because it didn’t directly compete with the e30 m3…seeing as how the evo2 came out in the early 90’s and the 2.3 16v were the m3’s direct competition.

i agree with you that the american verison was detuned…which…what imported car isn’t (to meet our emissions)
the european version had 185hp…due to differnt cams and exhaust.
either way…i’d love to own either of these cars over their 21st century models

Here’s a thread I did a ways back about the factory-campaigned '67 Belvedere, 10-second street car:

After my '68 is done, this is the next project I want to get into:

Unless it’s uber clean, these things don’t get a second look.
