I don’t really know that this qualifies. Don’t get me wrong, it is an awesome car and I would LOVE to have one. But it was basically the king of the street back in 1970 and wasn’t a sleeper car at all.

There’s quite a few era-specific cars like this (Fairlane 427s, GS, 442, GTX, etc., sedan-based with uprated suspensions, engines, and trannies); most people don’t have a clue to what it is.
