axle compatability

simple question…

will axles from a 93-97 del sol si fit on a 92-95 civic sohc

they are both sohc motors so it should work, i just want the go ahead before i go through with it.

EDIT: axles in question are indeed MT

assuming its for your hatch?

yes.

if you look up the part numbers of the axles they are exactly the same.

i heard somewhere before, that the hatch’s have shorter axles though.

why don’t you just go and buy a civic axle from autozone for $60?

because this one would only cost 40??

yeah i got a carquest right down the street, they seem to have good prices too

might just do that, but 40 is 2/3 the price

anyone else have input?

Just call the place down the street(carquest) and ask for the part number of each item

hmmm.

is this del sol axel used?

good idea minglor

the axle is used, boots are all solid and visually looks very good

i already told you. the part numbers are the same.

and omg.

omg.

omg.

$60 for a new part that you know will work & come with warranty > $40 for a used part, that visually looks good…and might not even fit.

this isn’t an intake or something. its a axle. and you don’t know if it needs to be taken apart and greased, or if there are any fracture marks on it…or how much abuse its had…

buy it from autozone and get the warranty. know the part will work, and fit correctly.

do it right or do it twice.

wow i sense some hostilty and resentment(spelling)

the 60 is after a core charge?

because its stupid to not go new or remanufactured and get a warranty. and know the part will fit.

yes 60 after core.

may go that route

does sound nice if i start making good hp and snap one i can get a new one for free

im more or less sold

Axles for D-series are all the same(manual trans). What beck is thinking is the shift linkage. They are different between the Sol and the civic

thanks guys, more then enough info to help me out here
