Azentek Atlas CPC-1000

I was going to buy a Kenwood Excelon DNX8120 for my car this week (actually had one set aside by a private seller) but I found this:

For $2,500…it’s only $900 more than the DNX8120 (if paying full-retail price) and packs a LOT more than the DNX (or comparable Pioneer AVIC system). It has internet, bluetooth, built in hard drive, typical high-end sound system with many outputs, backup camera capability, can get Sirius, XM or HD, internet, and even vehicle diagnostics.

Wow.

For $2500 just build your own car PC. How does it have internet? Does it use an ATT card or something? Can you use wifi?

Yep, uses WiFi and has a PC card slot. Will be upgradeable to WiMax soon.

I like it because it’s compact. For those people who don’t want a mini-mtx case under their seat or in their trunk, this is good.

I’m going with the DNX. Just paid for it. I just found that interesting. Sounds kick ass.

I got my DNX with 1.5yrs of warranty for $1,050 with all accessories and manuals.

For $1050 it’s worth it. You have specs on it? Their website is blocked at my work.

I had the Pioneer AVIC-Z2 prior to going back to stock (thought I was selling the car). This sounds like it’s better than the Z2. Believe it or not, that internal hard drive on the Z was a pain in the ass. The ability to play DVD’s with MP3’s on them is great. I can have one disc with all my music on it.

What kind of computer hardware does it have? This actually sounds better than the car PC I plan on building, assuming it has decent hardware.

Edit: Ah I thought you just bought the Azentek for $1050, my bad. I’ll check the specs of the Azentek when I get home.

Oh, I thought you were asking about the DNX8120 lol.
