My friend has a B16 and a datsun 1000 that hes just completed prepping it for paint -the front fenders (probaly go fiberglass)…but on a more serious note, he’s lost allot of work ethic this year, due to drug use and realizing hes not going to grad. I was thinking about buying it off him. He wants to complete the project himself but I’m pretty sure he’d sell it. So my question is, whats the deal with these? I’ve never seen one at a car show or anywhere for that matter. Anyone have some info on these cars? I’d greatly appricate it. Thanks guys.

Sorry having some trouble reading what your asking so I have a question about the B16: are you talking the motor from Honda? As for the Datsun 1000 was known as the Datsun Sunny in japan but tagged as the 1000 for export.
Should be full of interesting facts and a good ground work for other google-able sites.
the B16 was an old Datsun racing motor, possibly I misheard and its called the A18? I’ve tried googling a bit but cant find much. I’ll start with that wikipedia site. Thanks,

AHA, this car is pimp. 1300 pounds, smaller then a 510, and came with 62 stock hp. I think this car is begging for a motor swap. I’m probaly going to try buying it. Imagine a 1300 pound car with 200 hp? That would be pretty nutty.

my computer is missing a sound card. The motor is a A15, realistically I’d like to see 150-175. I did buy it, the plan for the motor is a mild cam grind, some porting, 9:1 compression pistons (incase one day it sees a small amount of boost) a larger carb and a exaust header. I’m looking forward to a project that you don’t see everyday and that will turn heads for all the right reasons. Such as smoking your daddy’s car. This car is going to take awhile, its going to be done right, and I don’t want a half assed job where I have to fix something every other day. I’m not minding the idea of custom fabbing now but in a few weeks we’ll see how much I like it. I’ll post some pics up once I am done moving.
