Best out-of-the-box computer

:word:

my fileserver is an old Athlon of all things, .75gb ram, 256mb ati, & ~4 hdds. handles backups just fine.

You should really do some sort of RAID setup with your porn…it would be a shame to lose it…Get a snap server

Just get something with a big enough case so you can always upgrade and still have room and have less heat issue…

OMG wait for the Mac Pro! OMG

Joe. . . even I have 2 GB :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah voodoo pcs kick ass, if only i had 12 grand lol

Meh, I’ll prolly just spec out a dell…1.5 TB 4GB ram, 1GB Dual GPU nvidia, 20 in LCD, balh blah blah under 5K…

5k for a dell = 2.5k to have someone build it for you.

If you really want to have a kick ass computer with tons of storage, I’ll build it for you in under a week.

And you will not be sorry  The computer will work faster than you can click! LOL

I can get a nasty discount with dell, let me know.

baldy you try selling your shit on here one more time you’re gonna pay advertising fees

lol ^

whatever joe buys im going to buy his night clock cycles.

$4,949

So seriously…$2500?

1GB NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GX2 Dual-GPU Graphics Card NV7950 [320-4932] 6

how much did this cost you? that’s gonna be awesome.

gotme…but the processor was +1K

I have no idea what the shit means but

Pentium® 4 Processor 670 with HT Technology (3.80GHz, 800 FSB) makes the system $4,400

and

Pentium® D Processor 960 with Dual Core Technology (3.60GHz, 800FSB) makes it $4,300

I really don’t think anyone can compete w/ Dell pricing when they toss in their monitors…esp since going w/ no monitor only saves $300

If you have time, try building a same/similar system on www.cyberpowersystem.com Or better yet, build it on a AMD platform.

no way in hell u build that for 2500 bucks

Monitor and vid card come to about a grand alone.

its too bad dell hasnt started selling AMDs yet, fuck that intel shit.

soon tho, dell will come from the darkside.

and Joe, SLI will not help porn watching either. not sure if u wana go that big for a pc thats only meant to play games, XPS is a gaming pc, which u stated u dont really do.

I’m checking on your spec’d system with only a 1/yr waranty

it wouldn’t let me spec out the ram properly…

The one I posted was 1 yr warranty

You’re right, I could prolly cut back on the vid card specs…The thing is I will run 2 monitors at the least. Yeah I don’t do gaming, so I guess 1GB is a bit overkill lol

the dual monitors wont be an issue as all new cards are DVI anyways, but im thinking that vid setup is way overkill for videos and stuff. i like my SLI but i have old school, 2 cards, im liking the all in ones tho, much cleaner and easier to install.

At fisher price the animation peeps run quattro cards and 3 monitors off of them, but those are 1-2 k each.

go with cyberpowersystem. If you go with Dell, you’re essentially paying almost 2k more for RAM and customer service from India.

And I think that AMD setup would blow Pentium out of the water.

However, I see you are doing 2 video cards, both of them should be the same for SLi (correct me if i’m wrong). 2 of the 7900’s would be fucking insane though, you don’t need that much power especially if you’re not gaming. Maybe get one and then get the 2nd if you really need it later on
