Best place to observe digital transition?

Preferably someplace really CLASSY that still receives television over analog radio waves.

Oh and IT WILL ALL BE OKAY EVERYONE. From here on out… the world is going to be different for us.

Well… you know how people celebrate new years

and their birthdays

and christmas

and summer solstice

and the birth of James K. Polk

and the day the iPhone came to the world

and Hail Bop, except we won’t be killing ourselves

Why can’t we celebrate the digital transition? I NEVER THOUGHT THE DAY WOULD COME.

I’ll just be happy to get all the stupid messages off the local channels

“Did you know that starting on June 12th you will need a digital converter to view over the air broadcasts?”

No, I’ve been living under a fucking rock for the last 2 years, thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Anyone want to take a guess at the approximate weight/number of teeth that the person the news will inevitably find for the broadcast tomorrow saying they had no idea why their TV stopped working?

I’m going with 350+ lbs and 10 or less teeth.

channel 2(HD) froze for like 15 seconds at midnight…

I’ll never be able to get the phrase “government coupon progrums” out of my head.

OMG I FORGOT TO GET MY CONVERTER BOX!!! FUUUUUUUUCCKKKKKKKKKK

in all srsness though, I was moving pianos a few weeks ago and this CRAZY old man came into the music store and was talking to phil (the older guy that owns the place) and he was saying just tons of completely off the wall things, but the one thing that stuck in my head, aside from him wanting to bet that phil didn’t own the piano that he once owned while living in germany was him sayign" and jeeze with this digital conversion and everything, things are just getting CRAZY"

CRAZY

Somewhere in North Tonawanda. Do any of the Oliver St bars have an old ass TV with rabbit ears? I’m sure one has to.

Hahahaha yeah probably Betty’s. They can’t afford cable BUT THEY HAVE A HALOGRAPHIC SIGN.

Just ran a scan on my hdtv with an indoor antenna hooked to it.
We get two channels, I live right in West Seneca, a few miles south of the city.

Christ, I hope the cable never goes out for an extended period of time, or I’ll be watching fox 29…
