best places for chassis bracing?

Im planning on either welding in or bolting in several braces thoughout my 180. just wondering what you guys thought the best places to throw some in are? i dont want to do a cage by any means, just want to get a bit more handling power. i was thinking of doing the “nismo power brace” and possibly having a couple bars connecting my rear strut bar and c pillar bar and having 2 bars coming off of that down to the floor in the hatch. also, if i was to connect my front and rear frame rails would that help alot or mess something up? any helpful thoughts would be great.

Get front fender braces, they bolt inside you front fenders. You can get them from CP Racing & Design, or SPLparts.

SPL also carries a Do Luck floor support bars, which I believe is what you are looking for. Although I think chassis foam in the rockers would make a bigger difference.

Check out both of those companies websites, they have all kinds of stuff I’m sure you’ll dig.

all that stuff can be custom made easly. and better in some cases depending on the car. If you want to drive come to Leth or wait a bit and I can do lots of that stuff quickly and easly for you in the edmonton area. I also have a nismo power brace for sale. $125 and its yours. I can broing it up too

Know where to get any?

i dont really want to buy any braces, i have a welder and metal. i just wanted to know where places are on the s13 chassis that would best benifit handling. i will probably do the nismo power brace bar and take my front fenders off and weld in some braces there as well. might weld my c pillar bar and rear strut tower bars together as well. would welding my front and rear frame rails together help out alot?

im pretty sure any stiffening of the chassis will help… just depends how much time you are willing to spend on your car instead of driving:)

oh i have nothing but time for the next few months while its parked…

ya I think the frame rail is a good idea!!! Also the rear struts if you built a V bar from each strut and if you did some behind the fenders and front struts it would be a noticable difference.
