bill ford jr. says "eat a dick"

What Ford said would be more credible if he earned his position rather than inheiriting it.

Thats irrelevant. If everyone keeps looking for excuses such as this so as to discredit this guy then no wonder he is having a hard time accomplishing anything.

Fortune 500 companies like Ford would not let someone inherit the position of CEO. Bill Ford was elected to the position just like any other CEO. He suceeded Jac Nasser who didnt really have much of a positive impact on the company. Bill Ford is a car guy, without him the Ford GT would of been nothing but a prototype. He actually cares about the end product, not just the bottom line like Nasser.

Amen Brother…

Just ask myself and Josh what it’s like to work in a full Union environment. He is portraying the exact message he should be by saying that…

Ford Europe rocks socks…Ford America sucks balls

Josh is right. And I wouldn’t know any of this from first hand experience or anything either

Ummm…Ford of Europe is and has been draining money out of Ford faster than Ford North America by a long shot.

oh. i read the article alright, my point is it took someone this long producing garbage to actually do something. gee, it only took close to a century to do something. and yes ford produces crap, they always have produced and inferior product. and trust me if i had any faith in ford i wouldnt say this(concidering my father works at the plant-he has lost faith in ford too, but they do pay the bills)
I have nothing but problems with my ford, its been in for repairs 6 times this month alone!!! so look at other points of view before u critisizing what someone has to say.:retard:

Well I had 160,000 miles on my old Ranger and it still ran fine…guess I must have had a lemon

If it’s nae Scottish, it’s CRRAP! :gotme:

On a serious note, how fast will any changes turn the company around?

then you know what Jac Nasser has done to fords quality when he was running the company, their quality WAS good and in the mid 90’s took a huge dive and they were producing a poor quality product for but now that bill ford is running things they are making a turn for the better, ask your dad if their quality has changed over the last 10 years i’de be interested in his answer since he sees first hand what they put into their vehicles. not dissing you i really want to know his opinion.

ford europe gets more exciting cars than us… but then again it seems what most americans want are big suv’s or trucks.

Well I had 160,000 miles on my old Ranger and it still ran fine…guess I must have had a lemon

*my 94 SHO has 215K and it runs great
*my mom’s old 1988 taurus had 123K on it when she sold it in 2003 and she bought it new and it never had any major service and was in exc condition when she sold it (oklahoma car for 12 years) infact its still driving around in the streets of cheektowaga now.
dads 98 windstar purchased in 2000 with 45K sold in 03 with 275K went through 2 trannies. ok but no so great
dad’s current van 03 E-150 purchased new currently has 120K no problems yet just in for recalls, oil changes, tires, and shocks

my family has always owned fords and have never had any problems with them, i don’t know maby i see things diffeerently than some people but at least the ones i’ve seen first han hold up quite well with the exeption of the windstar trannies.

I have owned two Fords recently, both SHO’s and they were great cars. Other than the Mustang (and the GT40) their current line has nothing of interest for me though. If anyone thinks Bill Ford got to be the head of Ford solely on merit, I have some elevator keys for sale they might be interested in.

word has it that the fusion will be added to the SVT lineup

I’ve owned 6 fords myself (not to mention my family) since I started driving and all of them were reliable, safe and drove great. Granted the stereo system in most of them left something to be desired, but other than that… great cars. Mine must of been lemons too lol

I’ve also owned 2 GM’s and 1 dodge (actually, 2 dodges… one was an 89 dakota which was beat to hell lol… good truck though). The dodge was a piece of junk (dodge spirit) and one of the GM’s was a piece too (88 celebrity)… my grand prix is great though. High milage and runs like a top

fusion svt will have the mazdaspeed 6’s turbo 4 and AWD.

I too, live in a ford family (my pop also works at the plant) and we’ve had our share of troubles, but we’ve also had some extremely solid cars. our taurii have just kept on going, we had an '88 crown vic that rotted apart before it would die, an econoline that saved my pop’s life when he was hit by a drunk (@ 240K on it), etc. etc.

but ford just hasn’t “gotten” it in the last decade - and I loved my '95 SHO as well. only time will tell if they are doing this early enough to catch themselves before they end up in as much trouble like mitsubishi or GM (and it wouldn’t take much!)

I worked a Union job before, got pain $12 an hour with full bennies, although it wasnt a huge fortune 500 co. so…
