a hair dryer and a butter knife works perfect, ive re gripped a few boards before.
The tape isnt bad at all its just clear, Im just not the biggest fan of it.

you can regrip a board, just use a hairdryer to soften up the adhesive, use a razor to peel it and toss on new grip. most shops sell a sheet of grip for $8 or so.
pulling off the grip is a bitch though. i never did it for people, told them they had to pull the grip themselves then I’d grip it.
btw. it’s surprising how many skaters suck at gripping a board.
