Will a light spray adhesive work?

One of my one pieces (composite hockey sticks) must have been a factory mess up, as it doesn’t have the stick 'um (grip) that the other does. I was wondering if there were some light spray adhesive or something I could use?

any ideas?

Rub the side of a fresh roll of stick tape all over it. It wont be as good as it would be with the grip coating, but it would offer alittle stickiness to it.

edit: I bet if you used friction tape it would be pretty solid actually.

where can you buy friction tape? I don’t think I’ve seen it in years. then again I’ve never asked for it

i hated that shit…

you could always duct tape it, heat it up so its gooey, then take it off. but that can get messy

can we fight?

there actually have been 2 good fights at my skate and shoot in the ~3 years its been running. the one was tough. a smaller guy with a take-no-shit attitude got into it with a bigger guy with a take-no-shit attitude. one punch and the kid was down and out.

usually its pretty calm though. good times.

dre, stop making excuses for sucking

any pro shop has friction tape.

just wrap the stick with some friction tape where you need it

haha

who are you?

wrap the shaft with any kind of tape, then heat the tape up with a blow dryer or something and then remove the tape, that should leave the sticky residue on the shaft.

fuckin newbs.

BTW dre keep in mind all that shit that has been mentioned to add stickiness will mess with the palms of your gloves. just use some regular stick tape like Rice does.

I just used straight up hockey tape aquired at my local sports store.

I never taped the shaft I liked to be able to slide, I put some at the top, but never in the middle.

And I would wrap the slut on the bottom with it.

The pros use friction tape.

An adhesive spray would just get covered in dust and not work especially when you get water/ice on it. Unless its like spray gorilla glue but then the puck might not come off.
