Before I contact the dealership, I was wondering if anyone is capable or knows of someone that can code a DME for me.
I need a new DME I purchased to have the EWS II system coded to match my EWS module so it’ll start my car lol. Car is a 1999 BMW M3 and the DME said is a Siemens MS41.1
:edit:
Is it possible to have BOTH my current DME and the new one both programmed to my EWS module? I’d like to have the option switching between both.
No, you cannot align two DME’s with your EWS, I already tried it. You need to find someone that has a “GT1.” It only takes 5 seconds to align your key with the new DME.
I might need something similar to this. I don’t know if it’s something that’s done through INPA or GT1, but I need my 2001 E39 cluster tach coded to read analog input instead of digital so it will work with the GM PCM signal.
Correcting my statement, from “no” to “yes you can have mutiple DME.” You will have to sacrifice you EWS but once that is disable anyone can steel your ride with a screw-driver. (you could install a removable steering wheel) Any tuner, ie: NickG @ TT, Karl @ Active Auto or TRM can disable this feature.
As far as I know GT-1 can not disable EWS. Check you PM I sent you a link.
