That’s fucking HOT

It would be alot less dramatic looking if they did the real deal…i think it would be tits to bring it back…especially if they threw the M3’s v8 with the X6’s top mount TT setup on it.

TITS.

dont worry…I think my SS is 10x’s better looking then the new camaro’s comming out.

Why does everyone assume that everything can be made better by slapping a few turbos on it?

Christ, my objection to this M1 concept is that the ORIGINAL M1 was an ill-conceived nightmare.

Was the original really that bad?

That looks more like a De Tomaso Pantera than a BMW.

BMW made it pretty clear they’ll never reproduce an M1. Hence why they have the tii concept. Plus, some think of the 135i as an M1.

looks fucking slick

I think the Carerra GT proves that it can be done without FI.

Shakes Shawns hand :nod , Lets not forget the S70/2 BMW quad Vanos engine from the McLaren F1.

The original wasnt a bad car, just came out a year too late to be competitive in racing so BMW scrapped production after 2 (or something) years.

The original M1 wasnt a 1 series, it was a M car built from the ground up so they just called it “M1.” The name is just a name, no relation.

There will be an M version of the current one series, but it wont be supercar territory like the original M1.

That car is siiiick :bowdown

they need to loose that bmw grill, it kills the flow of the front end imho

whats it got for power?

I’ll agree with that!

The bimmer is …idk?

it says it uses the v10 from the m6 so like 500hp

BMW celebrated the 30th anniversary of its iconic M1 by revealing a spectacular concept called the BMW M1 Homage at the Concorso Villa d’Eleganza at Villa d’Este on Lake Como in Italy.

Created as a tribute to the Giorgetto Giugiaro-built M1 and its designer, Paul Bracq, the contemporary two-seater is the work of BMW’s own in-house design team. They set out to update the wedge shape of the original mid-engine M1 in a car that BMW director of design Chris Bangle describes as “uniting the values of design and technology.”

Despite the effort that went into creating the M1 Homage, BMW says that the mid-engine concept remains a design exercise and has no major bearing on any future model.

The original, mid-engined M1 coupe was hand-built by BMW from 1978 to 1981. Production totaled only 456 units.
