" Since the 1-series will remain in production until 2011, it still makes commercial sense to launch the M1 late next year. The most obvious powertrain choice is the 343bhp 3.2-litre six as fitted to the outgoing M3. It’s an expensive engine, and it needs work to trim its CO2 and fuel consumption, but it is the most likely motor, our sources say. According to an internal document seen by CAR Online, the M1 would accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.2sec and would reach a top speed of 175mph if derestricted."

Performance would be stellar, But I am not feeling the looks.

I don’t like the crease in the door, and I think it looks poor how that crease in the door doesn’t match up with the crease on the front and rear bumpers.

i’d hit it…but if i had to choose between that and a 335, i’m not sure what i’d do.

EDIT: what’s the cost difference?

its lacking in looks

Get a real M1. Actually, I like the new M1 over 335.

yeah, but the question is will the m1 be available in 3-dr hatch form?

I still love the 99-02 M Coupe. This would be a much better version than the current Z4 based M Coupe.

I like the M1. i wish the they would bring over the one that burns that “stinky” fuel. (i think they make one, not sure though)

But i have to say this M1 is better.

When will these hit the us market?

Its ugly…go buy a real M1

Pics of this in black, its that crappy blue color makes any car look like poop

bah, it wuold be cooler if it had the 335 engine in it or a cool turbo diesel
