BMW radio code help

Installed the factory radio back in the car and the radio shows “code”. Can anyone help with the numbers and how to reset the radio? 1995 BMW 318 ti

look in your manual, im sure its in there

bmws are just like any other car should be a sticker or plate in or on the side of the gloe box if not just call a local bmw dealer with the vin

No manual…Someone on here hooked me up with a code and sequence for a VW I had last year.
Can’t just call a dealer either. They want paid to give up the code.

depends on the dealer, and how you approach them. If you have all the info you need, vin, radio serial whatever BMW requires.
When I was working for a stereo shop, I would call in to a dealer and tell them we disconnected the battery doing work, owner doesn’t know the code… could they help us out. 9 out of 10 tens they pulled the code for us. Once I had to go to the dealer with the car to prove it was the radio for the car, but nonetheless they gave up the code for free

Our honda element does that if the battery is unhooked. When we bought the car, we were given a card that had the code on it. From what we were told, the radio will not work if the code is not entered and the code is different for each unit. I may be wrong, but that was my understanding of how it works.

yea i used to work at sewickley bmw if you just call them with all of your info an tell them you got a dead battery and now your radio doesnt ork they will give it to you
