I recently took my 2004 Monte Carlo in for service at the dealer and to check why my heated seats and rear defrosters were not working. Turns out its the BCM and they wanted 500.00 to replace it! Obviously I said F that and just picked one up at autozone for 100.00. I havent had a chance to look yet but does anyone know where this thing usually is? I havent worked much on these cars but I cant believe it would be hard enough to justify 400.00 in labor.

The BCM is under the driver side dash, above the parking brake lever.

Under the dash … almost against the firewall … sitting perpendicular to the firewall

You need the tech 2 to setup the new BCM.
