Boost Leak fixes?

Anyone have suggestions ideas on how to test/find boost leaks? After a few runs that are obviously way closer than what they should be and the car feeling less power than it used to I think I might have some issues I need to track down…

Suggestions/Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

with my car i just watch the boost gauge… you have one? you should to know what your car pushes and what vacuum it sits at when you are at idle.

another way with these vw’s is to use a computer and watch the requested vs actual boost…

of coarse you could just check all your connections… and test your BOV… i know with a DV there is a test to make sure it’s a solid seal… probably a similar test with a bov…

is the car not building its normal amount? are your vac lines and intake/ tb bolts tight? get a bmx inner tube, cut off 6 inches each side of the valve. seal one side with rubber cement and maybe a clamp. disconnect the air intake pipe at the tb and streach the open end over it. fill with air and listen. guarenteed you will find the leak.

Just admit it : the 300zx lost to the GTP and doesn’t have any vacum problems!

Sell the piece of shit and buy a real car:cool:

spray starting fluid around likely leaks and see if the idle changes.
