Building a KaE Where to find parts

Im looking for parts like cam shafts, pistons, UD pullys anything that i can increase the performance of my Ka E and not spend a trillion dollers, I know adam had a set up a while ago but i cant find the post where it said what he had.

Any help would be great, I dont want to spend alot, and im looking for about 130-150 at the wheels all said and done.

Google ddint realy turn up much mostly DE parts and all from the states.

EBay often has UD pullies for pretty cheap.

What about a lightweight flywheel? I know you didn’t list it, but if you’re looking for mods… The DE and E flywheel are the same (I’ve been told) so yeah, I guess EBay might be the place for that, too.

I searched up a bit for you…

Here’s an underdrive crank pulley for about 50 bucks.

Here’s the cheapest fidanza flywheels I found.

Just remember to search at ebay.ca (not .com) so you only get the ones that will ship to Canada.

How about (or choose from):

– Good clutch, brakes, tune-up if needed
– Fidanza flywheel (eBay)
– Cams (available from PDM Racing if willing to go U.S.)
– Intake (eBay it…)
– Exhaust w/ header
– Pulley set
– Timing advance & higher octane fuel

The following dyno is PDM Stage 2 cams, pulley, header, intake & “tuning”:

163.1 rwhp, 161.4 rwtq. Pretty nice NA numbers.

Being that this is a DOHC, your SOHC would probably be around the range you’re looking for. Just some ideas.

Right now, i have full exaust ,Headers, Hiflow cat, intake.

the UD pullys and fly wheel (never thought of that) are looking mighty nice, Need a clutch to. I may leave it at that for a while.

Baby steps

SOHC’s suck, get a better engine.

hhhhhmmmm

No im good thanks.

I’m yanking your chain. I can give you some advice on internal work, IE raising compression. Raising compression and running side-drafts or ITB’s like the 510 guys in best way of gaining on these engines.

look me up on MSN.

Andrew.

By shaving the head a bit , you can raise the compression .

i would not recommend shaving over a few thou to straighten the mating surface. When you want to raise compression, pistons are the way to go.

Andrew.

These are great guys thanks, Andrew I added you to msn, thanks  I dont want anything to hardcore because this will be my daily driver, Want to be able to run 91 in it if possible.

for timing it can go 2 degrees clockwards, and run 91? right?
