jk, my brothers Mr2 is almost not worth the trouble, I can see why you would make the switch. mr2’s are so unbelievably difficult to work on.
this is true… he was telling me how he had to take the axle off to replace the alternator… I meen you see how much money he has into his car to make it run right… its almost just silly. Btw tell him to call me back I need some parts lol. haha!

The alternator on the 91-95’s comes out through the top. You remove the bracket it holds onto to get it up.
I had three and I did not find them that hard to work on. They do require a lot of patience and parts ARE expensive for the 3SGTE.
The shop manuals help a lot.
^^^ actually i know how to take out an alternator. However i was switching from a 60 amp alternator to the 100 amp alternator and their brackets are different sizes. Toyota once again over engineered their brackets and i had to drop the axles to get to all the bolts…pain in the ass
and by the way dan if you do sell your car, I cant wait to smoke that 240 of yours.
