I was wondering if anybody could help me with the issue I am having…
These bushings are not available through Nissan as they prefer selling the suspension parts with the bushing (how convenient)
I am trying to get the following parts locally (it would be great to avoid paying duty and hefty shipping fees) for a reasonable price and so far I have had no luck.
Rear control arms bushings (upper, lower and toe).
I’ve asked around and the best I found is energy suspension rear control arm bushing kit for around USD90 from the states (not including duty)
Subframe bushings.
The best I found (and ONLY) are the Nismo bushings from Nissan Courtesy Parts for USD160ish (not including shipping nor duty)
I am trying to get a hold of a peak performance dealer to get more info about them since I am only looking to replace the oem bushings (not add collars nor put aluminum bushings)
Rear ball joints.
(CTC doesnt even sell the front ones! PDM sells the Moog for the front at a reasonable price, but they don’t carry rear ones. According to them, no one makes the rear ones!?)
no they aren’t readily available (or available at all?) i’ve heard a lot about sentra front ball joints fitting in, do a search and you’ll probably find some useful info about it.
Thanks. I’ve done A LOT of research on this and really the best I could find is “S14 front lower ball joints will work as the rear lower ball joints”
For obvious reasons, I cant take this seriously as if this were the case, ball joint manufacturers would cross reference the two.
Also the ppl that tried it don’t seem to have measured anything to see if they really are the same specs.
I hear you on this one. ive been lookin around for bushings as well. all ive found is the energy suspension bushing kit but its really pricy. I got solid subframe bushings from bing they look awesome and i cant wait to get them in but as for the ball joints let me kno what you find out cause i couldnt find any.
I really need to know for the S14 chassis. This ball joint issue is really pissing me off.
Also, I prefer to stay with the rubber bushings because I don’t want so much of a “harsh” ride (I drive the car daily). But no1 except Nissan offers these and that’s through Courtesy parts in Texas… its going to cost me CAD~210 by the time it’s here.
You’re right, but none offer the subframe bushings (only bushings they offer are supplements to the OEM installed bushings). And unfortunately, the master kit I bought didnt include the rear control arms bushings (but that’s not too hard to get… just want to find the best reasonable deal.)
