2.8L VR6 is way diff. than a 3.2L VR6 w/ the VFE setup FWIW. Plus the headwork and Haldex liked it:)

i dont know about that. ive seen haldex boxes take a beating… the 02M 6 speed is really strong too… if you dont keep up on the services maybe they get messed up… haldex flush every 10k the book says.

ive driven a blown R32 at the dealer i got my car from. it was a dealer installed VF E intercooled kit with a milltek exhaust. it was BMP, had H&R sport springs. sharp car. felt great but, all out performance, you arent getting it with a blower.

gotta get the blue haldex box or make your own controller… haldex is a weird AWD system, but it works.

Yeah…you should have seen it on the dyno. Franz was going nuts when we were tuning it. Even w/ the Haldex control unit cranked to the rear it’d keep questing for more traction. Finally we ended up unplugging it so it just went static during the tune and sent power pretty much equally to all the wheels. Made life way better for everyone:) I wish I still had the dyno graphs from that car…man were they nice. JClark got a ride in that car the FIRST night I got it back from KTR in Boston…

yeah alot of haldex tuners tune it FWD. finicky system.

your body kit ruined that car for me unfortunately… DBP is such an awesome color.

Just a totally different feeling in how the power is delivered. Turbo’d cars have always felt more violent to me because s/c’d cars are so linear. You lose that sudden onslaught of goodness. Just kinda rolls up on you w/ the blower. I like both equally and they both work well. P.S. read my post - Haldex controller only effects where the power is sent, not how the system as a whole works.

Body kit? It was only a one off front bumper that was constructed by Pete Knight at KTA to make room for all the plumbing for the VFE Prototype system. Didn’t want to hack off the support beam and such. Sorry it didn’t get your vote :idiots

i know what the controller does. but alot of people do haldex hacks or unhook the coupling, to run in FWD mode, many bade tales of the R32 jumping around on the dyno

i just think the R32 bumper fit the car so much better, obviously its an opinion, and we know where opinions get you around here.

HPA had a video of a TT bucking from the Haldex going bananas and literally snapping the clasps on one of the straps holding the car on the dyno and it smashing the camera. Thankfully nobody was in the dyno room when it happened…camera paid the price though! I wish I could find it!

i wish i took a video of justins MR on the dyno at imp motorsports in jersey… even though the calibration was TOTALLY FUCKED… watching that car climb the rollers and scare the shit out of john estrada on every pull was priceless. :lol watching boost climb to 33-34psi on 93 + meth and jestr aborting 3-4 runs when the car was stretching the straps and the car was nearly on the back side of the rollers… :ohnoes… and yes the dyno only reading 234hp and 256tq…lol… then there was my STi on stock block and stock turbo that made 188hp/184tq @ ~17psi…lol
