Nice, i got the 810 up 3X. Ive never been big into seeing what i could do 1X. Thats serious weight though!
my absolute MAX was 880lbs for leg press. not bad for a tall lanky motherfucker like me eh?.. i got the 880 up on the leg press and was able to do calf raises with it.
My old boss could lift a ton. I know when I worked for him back in 2004 he could dead lift 750
I had a buddy of mine, who is about 2-3yrs younger than me, havent seen him in about 4yrs…hes fuckin huge now. Puttin up 275 10X fairly easy, his old man is a big fuck though, so im assuming genetics did work for him :lol
1000lbs was for 2 reps… ;p Thats when I was lucky enough to have a workout partner and did nothing but forced repitions… shot up quick in strength.
The guy i know down the street from me, Matt, benched 565 in his prime in his late 20’s :wow Guys fuckin nuts!
Sure did. Oh well, I’m working with what I have. I’ve over doubled what I can do on dumbell press since I started lifting, for example.
I never got into lifting at all when i was younger. Didnt have the want to when i was in HS and shit, always working, or focused on the car and other shit. Im not doin too bad considerin i just started basically :lol
That’ll happen. A lot of it has to do with the stabilizing muscles… people see quick gains on the db press. Whatya do for reps?
When i first started lifting, god what a sad sight it was lol. I was benching with a 25lb and a 10lb plate on each side. Now im warming up with 155 usually. Skull crushers used to do at 50lbs or so, doing them with 90-100lbs now. Etc etc
+1, i see ALOT of people that look like they are having seizures when they lift, bar all crooked and shit…its nuts
I’m just using that as an example, I’ve put a lot of strength on every muscle of my body since I started. For dumbell press, when I started lifting I could only do 30’s (yes I am THAT weak naturally), but I can put up 65’s now for the same amount of reps. My arms were well under 13 inches when I started, now 14.25, etc. This is all on a program not dedicated to strengh, either, it’s a dual purpose, girth loss/muscle gain plan. Once I trim down to where I want to be, I’ll do a dedicated bulking plan.
Nice, i used to do like 40’s or so. Im now up to 75lbs for 8 usually, 70 for 10X
I was up to 90lb db on flat bench. 90x6. I was stuck at 80lb dumbells for the LONGEST time… I could not break through the 80lb threshold lol.
Thats the way i am right now with the 75lb’ers. Ill try the 80’s, and need help gettin em up etc…FUCK that extra 5lbs :lol
One of my biggest goals is getting the arms past 17"s, im at 15.5 or so right now…
Nice dude. I’ve actually shyed away from incline DB as it’s too hard to get the weights up on the inital rep. Do you do close grip bench press? I added it recently and I’m really liking it.
OMG YES. Love it, thats on my arms day. Im doing 155 10X
Big numbers man. My shit is at like 14.25…started well below 13. To me, my goal is 15", but toned as fuck. Nothing impressive about a big, untoned arm to me.
In your guys opinion, whats better, a traditional bench, or DB bench? Orr, switch every other week?
