My sarter in my 180sx is on its way out, am i able to use one from a Pulsar, or a 240?

Get some new brushes put in, Its usually around $40. Joes Auto Electric on yellowhead and Fort road did the one in my pathfinder when it crapped out and it never let me down again.
I dont think that would work, when you try to start, the drive doesnt get thrown out, so all you hear is “zing…” So I dont think its the brushes, but if I’m worng pls correct me. I’ve always just rplaced the starter if it starts to act up, i just need to know if the FWD CA one, or one form a KA or such will work.
neither will work … s12 CA one has worked I hear …but just get it rebuilt to be honest …cost you less possibly and you will have the correct part in the end 
k ill look into rebuilding it, but the problem ive noticed is the companies that rebuild stuff cant seem to find parts to match up. I may have to ride my bike to work here next week :lol:
