My buddy owns a paint shop and I’m thinking about having the M3 repainted. I’m going to have it done same color most likely but I’m thinking about having the roof painted black. Can someone photoshop the top black for me?

id def stick to the original color, itll look funny with original white door jambs and engine bay and a blue exterior etc.
better off just doing the roof with vinyl. less permanent.
there is nothing saying you wouldnt paint the jambs, engine bay, and trunk opening.
regardless, i still wouldnt do a color change.
i dont think it would look right at all. that thing defineatly needs a drop though.

If the car was painted it would have the bay and jams done of course.

The garage is an oversize two car I wanted larger but that wasn’t an option in the area.
The wheels are 17x8.5" M3 wheels painted black. They are on the car all year round, winter doesn’t matter much here in Houston. lol
This is what the wheels used to look like. I might go with gold in a bit IDK.
Car’s suspension is 100% factory. I’m not going to change it unless it fails. It is my DD not a race car.

did some google instead of pshop. I vote vinly as you can do it in a couple hours and easily go back if you change your mind. plus its probably 3/4 the price.
look at what i did on accident. now you can compare painted and unpainted trim too! I think I have heard people putting vinyl on these too, but idk.

IMO making the side molding body color makes the car look waaay better. I think the black side molding makes the car look cheap.

I think it depends. In this case with a black roof, I think the black moldings compliment the look.
I think regardless of the black roof, body colored trim makes it look so much cleaner and refined.
Black roof and hood is hot!

I say paint the roof and only the roof. (or vinyl, w/e) Do the wheels either in gloss black, or some other color. And if you feel like, painted trim > black trim. If fit wasn’t a white car, my opinion may be different.
Would the harsh southern sun effect the vinyl at all?
