Canada has a Stealth Snowmobile

The Canadian military has been secretly test-driving a $620,000 stealth snowmobile in its quest to quietly whisk troops on clandestine operations in the Arctic.

The Canadian Press has learned that soldiers have taken the new hybrid-electric snowmobile prototype on trial runs to evaluate features such as speed, noise level, battery endurance and acceleration.

No pictures, obviously :snky:

The north & cold conditions are ideal for extreme testing of batteries & hybrid systems though.

Pretty worthless without pics though…

This article is from 2011, but explains a little more on it. I remember reading about the hybrid snowmobile back then when it was in it’s early stages.

this will be perfect when they decide to take over russia

The best part is that they’ll be able to transport the entire Canadian army on one sled. With a price tag like that, it just might be 95Dime’s ride.

I imagine it will look something like this:

Their 1st problem however is that it is black though!

Maybe they didn’t get the memo that we keep fighting people that live in the desert

you’ll never be ready for the Eskimo jihad with that attitude.

This should help put a stop to all that maple syrup smuggling.

lol. sorry but it doesnt burn enough fossil fuels for me. the only way i would convert is if it ran on maple syrup instead :stuck_out_tongue:

Why tell about a stealth snowmobile, isn’t it supposed to be a secret?

I’m no military buff but when was the last time there was a battle in the arctic?
