driver finds himself upside down and then running to make a fiery escape in the Strip District Friday night.
Shawn Acton, of Pricedale, lost control of his car on the 16th Street bridge.
The car flipped over and exploded into a fireball.
Acton says he escaped just seconds before his car burst into flames.
“Boom! Everything lit up my hair lit up on fire! My shirt, my back! So of course I’m rolling around on the ground, everyone’s screaming hey you’re on fire like I don’t know I’m on fire but it came up pretty fast.”
Acton suffered minor burns.
The bridge was closed for a short time while the wreckage was cleared.
