Since my snow tire question was answered I now have a rim question. For example can I take a set of Acura RSX rims, throw the SUV tires on and rock them for the winter. Is there some place I can ask to confirm?
Thanks again.
We have RSX wheels on our Element with no issues.
You can use any rims on any car as long as the bolt pattern and offset is correct or close lol. You’d be fine, google the bolt patterns and offsets.
Tire rack usually helps confirm sizes, just look for wheels of the same size and check the offset and bolt pattern
X…
Be sure to check the hub size too.
Thank you, will do.
yes. a lot of people run s2000 wheels on crv’s too.
i wouldn’t do it on a towing vehicle though (unless you have the right tires)
Honda makes something you can tow with?
Pilot
Ridgeline too, although, i’m assuming it was just a jab at honda, not an actual question.
Check brake caliper clearance.
Someone mentioned tires for towing. The Pilot can tow 4500lbs MAX, Ridgeline 5000lbs MAX. These towing capacities do not require any special load rating for a tire.
Exactly why I never understood the Ridgeline. A unibody truck with a dismal tow rating… whats the point?
yeah, absolutely. Tongue weight shouldn’t be any more than 300 pounds or so, so you’re not putting much more weight on the tire.
Beat me to it…![]()
Hub bore size would be the biggest thing to check. People run E46M wheels on X5’s and whatnot.
