Cars bought and sold.

I have been busy. Most people think i am insane. I tend to agree.
I sold my Jeep in February and bought a Ford F150 4x4. well, i sold that a few weeks back. Made 800 bucks on it so its all good. I picked up a 99 Stratus to give my youngest son a car to drive this summer(he needs to get his license) 2 weeks ago. My oldest son saw it and decided he wanted it, so he asked me to sell it to him. He sold his SAAB 9000 turbo(i know, i know) to buy it, so he now has it(i still dont have the title for it yet). Last Thursday the car i ordered for the wife came in…a new Scion Xb. Damn nice little car fopr the $$, and has decent scoot since its a 5 speed. Now i still need to pick up some cheapo automatic tranny car for the kid to get his license with. My sons Fiances family has an old beater Camry i can grab for 500 bucks, maybe thats the ticket.
Anywho, here are some of the recent rides flying thru my revolving garage door…LOL

As to the 'Rocco…
I had bought a 1983 Rabbit GTi new in April of '03. I loved that car. I modded and drag raced it in the 80’s. when i was the ONLY FWD 4 banger at the track. Then i showed it for a number of years. I sold it in '02. I regretted selling it and started looking for an A1. I found this 'rocco last year and jumped on it. It is a spotless 85. Not a spec of rust, ding, scratch, or flaw on the thing. It had a very nice body restoration/respray a few years ago. The PO was a mechanical engineering professor and he owned the car since 1991. He stripped the body down and fixed every flaw before having the basecoat/clearcaot applied. The car has 168K miles, but you would never know it. It has working factory R12 A/C, working factory cruise control, and the original VW cassette unit. I have the original window sticker. It wasn’t cheap, but i thnk i paid a fair price for it, considering how rare a stock unmolested rust free A1 is. I take it to cruises, along with my wife who takes the 69 SAAB. One thing for sure, we don’t see too many other cars like ours…LOL.

Really nice Scirocco. :yum:

Saab!!! :boink

Thanks. They are both a lot of fun, even though they are kind of slow…i do miss my old F body… :frowning: :frowning:
