i just recently failed e-test terribly, i will start by replacing my cat.
i don’t want to get an oem replacement cat as they easily run 600+, but i’ve also personally heard from people that aftermarket cats like “magnaflow high flow” cats DO NOT pass e-test…
apparently oem STYLE cats (which are not “high flow”) do the job as well as real oem ones and will not cost you any limbs
does anyone have any suggestions for an inexpensive cat that will pass e-test? even better, where i can go to find this?
Ive never heard of a good high flow cat that didnt pass :S
3 of my buddies run 3" high flows, (SR, SR, RB20) and all pass legitly…
if u need a schassis cat, i have 2 lol
not sure wat else would do it…
problem solved. found a place near hwy400/finch that sold new oem style cats for 80$. they are car specific with built-in flanges so its a direct bolt on, no welding, and good for e-test (also comes with proper gaskets).
if anyone is having the same problem and would be interested, go check them out at 90 Signet Drive, Toronto. Unit 15.
