Figured i would pass this along if anyone is in the need of a rear stand.

t-rex stands are also cheap and good. i think i paid 110 shipped for a pair of front and rear
Looks like a good stand for those who don’t already have one, price is about the same with HF’s aluminum stand.
That’s a pretty good deal for a nice stand.
I had one of these for a while and was satisfied with it. I cut off the rubber covers on the swing arm hands and made new ones with old bike tubes. 10x the durability and no scratches.
I am still pretty retarded when it comes to motorcycle maintenance. This will fit any bike? It sits on the swing arm so you can remove the rear tire? thanks for the remedial assistance
If it is a spool only stand, you will need a set of spools. Some works with both spools and swingarm. It makes maintenance 10x easier and some repairs/maintenance work cannot be done without it, like taking wheels off.
IMO, I think at the mininum everyone who rides should have at least a rear stand (unless your bike came with a center stand). Just makes lubing chains much easier; Which I am sure you all know it should be done every 500~600 miles or after riding in the rain.
ive got one of those older harbor freight rear stands. works well.
i need to pick up a front eventually, i want the kind that lifts from the steering pivot.
I picked up my set of pit bull from a memeber here, best quality stands you can buy. Just got a new pin for the CBR.
some maintenance can not be done without what? spools? or a stand?
pic looks like its resting right on the swing arm, and would therefore allow me to remove the rear wheel as far as i can tell.
also, think i am confussed as to what a spoll actually is. where do they go lol, guys i thought they would be on either side of the wheel like where you bolt it on.
T-Rex is the cheapest I’ll go BEST BANG for the buck no doubt!
i was planning on making my own since i have a bender and a welder, but that harbor freight one went on sale for like 24 bucks last fall so i jumped on it.
much better than i expected.
HF is a real gamble sometimes the stuff is great sometimes it’s trash.:lol
I have that same aluminum one, works well for the price.
The only Issue I can see with that one is if you have a spool/slider combo instead of just a small spool, it will cause an issue (which happened to me on my R6), as there is not enough distance between the “V” and the horizontal mounting plate.
Exactly. I was planning on making a basic one when I saw the HF lift. For $24 you can’t build it. Sign up for the emails and get the 20% coupon for extra -$.
Hell, I bought my dad the cheesy jack/lift and that works awesome on his overweight Harley.
/thread jack sorry OP.
